李初成

馬來西亞雙溪毛糯漢生療養所參議會理事(前代理主席) 

 

 

雙溪毛糯麻風病院院民。1958年搬進毛糯院後,積極在院內參與福利工作,並擔任院裡福利部主任。2007年馬拉工藝大學因為要蓋醫學院,東院院民面臨被迫搬遷的命運,身為毛糯院參議會代主席的李初成代表院民向有關當局爭取保留毛糯院。從呈交備忘錄給衛生部,文化部,高教部及各個社會團體,李初成希望社會大眾瞭解及尊重麻風病人身為人的權利。

  

 

Lee Chor-Seng

former chairman of counselor of Sungai Buloh leprosy Settlement 

 

 

Sungai Buloh leprosy settlement resident. After moved into settlement in 1958, Lee actively involved in welfare work and served as director of department of welfare. In 2007, University Technology Mara wanted to destroy Eastern SB leprosy settlement and forced the residents to relocate in order to build a medical school.

As the chairman of counselor of Sungai Buloh leprosy Settlement, Lee represented the residents to call for the concerned authorities to preserve the settlement. Submitted memorandum to the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Higher Education and the various social groups, Lee hopes the society could understand and respect the rights of lepers as people. 

 

 

 

冼濤閑

 

雙溪毛糯麻風病院院民,1977年搬進毛糯院。2007年馬拉工藝大學因為要蓋醫學院,東院院民面臨被迫搬遷的命運,當神手在沒有預先通知院民就展開拆遷行動時,冼濤閑第一個到場阻止神手拆遷。冼濤閑目前是福廟的總務,也是參議會的理事,活躍參與毛糯院社團的工作。

 

  

Sin Toh-Han

Sin is Sungai Buloh Leprosy Settlement resident who moved into settlement in 1977. In 2007, University Technology Mara wanted to destroy Eastern SB leprosy settlement and forced the residents to relocate in order to build a medical School. When the excavators started the demolition construction without any notice, Sin was the first person to stop the demolition. Now Sin is the general of Fu Temple and a member of the council. He participates in works of SB group actively.   

 

 

 

 

傅向紅

 

馬來西亞,陽明大學物理治療系及衛生福利政策研究所畢業。2001年回國後於馬來西亞雪州加影新紀元學院媒體研究系任教,目前任職該院馬來西亞族群研究中心研究員,兼任通識課講師。

 

 

關心與擅長之領域包括性別政治、醫療政治、社會科學研究方法與文化研究,反映其跨學科的學術關懷與背景。曾於20066月中,以志工身份參與馬來西亞隆雪華堂社會經濟委員會之雙溪毛糯麻風病院墓地田野調查小組的墓地記錄工作;並於20072008年間,與三位媒體界朋友成立記錄片自願工作隊,多次深入雙溪毛糯麻風病院,用影像記錄該院遭馬拉工藝大學無理拆遷的過程,並走訪多位元院民,記錄他們被迫遷的過程以及他們早年患病時遭受的種種歧視與不平對待。

   

 

Por Heong-Hong

Graduated from National Yang Ming University, Department of Physical Therapy and Health and Welfare Policy Research Institute. In 2001, Por came back to Malaysia and taught in Kajang Selangor Malaysia New Era College about media studies. Currently she serves at Ethnic Groups Research Center in Malaysia as a lecturer in general classes.

 

Majoring in gender politics, medical politics, social science research methods and cultural studies, reflects her multi-disciplinary care and academic background. In 2006, Por participated as volunteer in the Malaysian Lung Snow Chinese socio-economic committee for 6 months to videotape cemetery records in SB leprosy settlement. From 2007 to 2008, Por and her three other media friends voluntaried to record the unreasonable demolition process by University Technology Mara . They interviewed residents to record the process of forcing to relocate and their early years, suffering from disease and being discriminated and taking unfair treat.

 

黃義忠

 

永遠的希望之谷導演,資深電視台製作人,目前正進行時事深度報導的節目「追蹤檔案」,2006年拍攝「都市貧窮」獲“Anugerah Seri Angkasa”最佳電視雜誌獎。曾任華文報社記者15年,畢業於菲律賓Ateneo大學、香港浸信大學新聞系,目前在新紀元大學教授新聞報導、紀錄片拍攝,研究專長為媒體道德與華語電視新聞。本研討會放映其作品 永遠的希望之谷

Currently, a senior producer of news and current affair of NTV7, a local TV station of Malaysia, and produces a half and hour program--Zhui Zong Dang An (追踪档案)



Zhui Zong Dang An is the first and longest Chinese current affairs program in Malaysia. It has a best-known for investigative, in-depth reporting. With the high quality of reporting, this program won the best TV magazine from “Anugerah Seri Angkasa” award with airing the story of “Urban Poor” in 2006.

 

Joshua Wong was a journalist for 15 years. Before joining NTV7, he worked as a feature reporter at several Chinese newspapers, included China Press and Sin Chew Daily.

 

Joshua Wong obtained his M.A. in Journalism at the Ateneo De Manila University from Philippines and my B.Soc. Sc. in Journalism at the Baptist University of Hong Kong. For the past three years until now, he also teach TV news, feature reporting and documentary in New Era College as a part time lecturer. His research interests include media ethics and mandarin TV news.
